Why do SOME people want someone who resembles their own experience to be in power?

I know that it's not always an either/or proposition, but we've got folks who're taking a liking to Palin, and ergo McCain by ociation, JUST BECAUSE she is "small town." I myself am smarter than most people, but I'm not the smartest guy in the world, and I'd rather have a smarter person who DOES NOT resemble me in power than a dunderhead who "resembles" me.

Is my girlfriend going through menopause?

I've been going out with my girlfriend for about 13 months now. I am 25 and she has just turned 39. We have recently moved in together and over the last 3 or 4 months her drive has decreased to wanting it about once a week, if that. I have discussed my frustration with her and she is aware that we havent been having alot over the past few months. Most weeks it is twice a week but sometimes we can go for a week without her instigating anything. What worries me more is menopause. She is 39 so could be going through peri menopause? I never knew there was such a thing as pre menopause and it includes symptoms such as fatigue, reduced libido, dryness of the etc... I am worried. A friend suggested she could be pregnant. HELP!

Time Share in Las Vegas?

Me and my husband are looking into getting a time share. My in laws has a time share at the Polo Towers. I fell in love with the room layout big kitchen, hugh bathroom and pull out bed. We are looking for something like that but not to pricey. Any ideas??? Also we have kids. Must be kid friendly and not to far from the strip.

Should I still be with him?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 8 months today. And back in march I found out he cheated on me with this girl he knew. We broke up for a week and then got back together. Well last week I saw these texts between him and a girl that were not appropriate. He said he was drunk when he texted her. We've talked about it. I had him delete her number and any other girls he hasnt spoken to in a while But ever since I get sketchy about who he's texting and what's he doing when I'm not with him. I half way trust him. I already know what most answers would be but I'd just like more points of view. I love this kid to death though. Don't ask why.
