Where can i get software to make beats..?

i want to be a dj and i wana start out small just making beats and kinda figure things out befor i start buyn all this **** and not now how to do anything, so iwant to buy some kinda of software for my computer were i can make beats and mix songs and stuff like that, i wana make a mixer cd too
