Which is better? Hill climbing or brisk walking?
I am 38 yrs old female, 75 kgs and 5"2. I used to walk for 45 minutes for 3 months but my weight remained the same. I reduced my food intake also to half during this period. Someone told me to climb the hill for fast weight loss.There is a hill shrine near our house with around 500 steps. Climbing up the hill with four short halts takes 35 munutes and the climbing down takes 10 minutes. On the whole (including walk from and to home) will take around 50 minutes. I have been doing it every day for the past 10 days. My legs and knees pained a lot initially but now the pain has decreased. Now please tell me. Is it a good exercise to loose weight? Is it good for my knees to climb up the hill everyday? If not what should I do to loose weight.
